5K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Baldwin Wallace Assistant Director of Athletic Communications - New Media The Baldwin Wallace University Office of Athletic Communications is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Athletic Communication to assist the Director of Athletic Communications and two Athletic Communications Graduate Assistants with the promotion and publicity of Baldwin Wallace's 28 intercollegiate sports.
This position will provide creative strategy to advance the Baldwin Wallace University brand through a variety of social media platforms utilizing our student and graduate assistant creative team.
Major Responsibilities Include:
Focus on the coordination and management of new media Implement a yearly plan to promote BW athletics on social media.
Write and edit press releases, game stories and student-athlete features Produce athletic publications such as virtual game programs Assist with the updating of the athletics website, bwyellowjackets.
com Assist with the production and management of video scoreboards Assist with video game day streaming.
Manage video content for the website Compile and distribute statistics Operate computer programs, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, NCAA Live Stats, Presto Stats and Stat Crew System software Manage and oversee a staff of graduate assistants and student-assistant creatives Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in communications, sport management or related field is required Two years directly related professional experience A working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Design suite Flexible, detail oriented and possess the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team Excellent interpersonal skills, organization, planning, prioritization and follow through Experience with Presto Stats Stat Crew and/or NCAA Live Stats or a willingness to learn Experience with video and photo editing Strong communication is required Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight travel Preferred
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment Compensation:
