Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Take and develop dental X-rays - Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records - Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Take and record vital signs of patients - Assist with patient assessment and triage
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures - Familiarity with anatomy and oral health conditions - Proficient in using dental software systems, such as Epic - Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Skills:
- Proficient in performing dental assisting duties, including chairside assisting and instrument sterilization - Knowledge of X-ray procedures and ability to take accurate dental X-rays - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members - Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record keeping We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our employees.
